Went diving out of Grand isle, La last weekend...traveled about 50 miles out in search of fish... took a couple of nice amberjack. Did not see much in the way of sizable snapper. Still a good and safe trip..

stu, how far out was the rip? we dove 42 miles south of grand isle anround the tenth of this month at the ewing banks in 188 ft. of water and never did find any blue water. the river was 12' high at the time. it had the whole gulf muddied up. we did see alot of amberjacks though. big c.
