was doing a 65 foot dive coming of bottom at about 30 foot A J's all around me stoned a 33'' had him on line seen a 8 foot bull came in from under me and took him , he shook for about 45 sec, he let go of the spear , i got to keep my gun and spear i went to the boat and wiped my butt it was bad , yes i got back in the water , went back down, you got to you know .........

Scary Shite for sure! Way to hand on to the gun though, I lost a 54" biller last Summer in a similar scenario.

I'll be diving in this area next week...that's not a story I wanted to hear! Glad you (and your gun!) made it back to the boat...besides the AJ, score any fish?

line shafting right? are you rigged with cable? i woulda just cut the mono and ph' ed the shark. that way you get your shaft back.
i dont know from experience. any reason not to? i realize it is hard to cut cable quickly maybe that is why.
