For only $2.00 each (for labor) plus materials, MAKO Spearguns is now offering custom made bands.
This is how it works: Look through our website (Bulk Rubber Section) and select any color or thickness of band you desire, specify the length of the latex rubber (in inches), choose one of our many wishbones and we will immediately fabricate your band for the cost of the materials (plus $2.00 for labor). There are so many options and configurations from which to choose, that we could not automate the process on our website. So please, call and place your order over the phone for your "made to order custom made bands".
NOTE: You can refer to our band length chart located in the "instructional information" (top nav bar) to assist you in determining recommended band lengths.
All our bands are hand tied (including the ones we ship with our guns) at our facility THE DAY YOU PLACE THE ORDER!. Even though we use the best and the most expensive latex tubing available, we do not make your bands until the day your guns or bands are ordered.
Experienced spearos know that the moment the wishbone is tied (or crimped), THE CLOCK STARTS TICKING! The latex material that has been stretched over the wishbone will begin to degrade slowly with the best latex and degrade quickly with cheap latex. There is no avoiding this fact. That's why it makes sense to construct (or purchase) your bands only when you need them. MAKO bands are not made until you place the order. This insures that you will get the freshest, most powerful and most reliable bands possible.
When buying bands off the shelf, you have no idea how long they have been sitting there.
