I spoke to Captain Conrad of the 6 pack charter "Miss Conduct". He is running a 2 tank morning dive for spearfishing on Friday Morning June 4th at 9am. You will be off the water by 1:30pm and will have plenty of time to clean fish and go get cleaned up for the Blue Wild Happy Hour later that day.

Capt Conrad has a proven reputation in Pompano of putting you on the fish that you want to shoot and has over 30 years of experience on his reefs along with the stories to tell. Cost is $60 and he can arrange for rentals with advanced notice.

It is just a short 9 miles from the happy hour location. This will fill up fast so best to call Conrad directly at ph 954-815-9424 for a faster response than by email. I'm on the boat and with my brand new Click 'N Fire speargun and there are 5 spots left.

It's going to be great walking into the happy hour with that day's fish story for others that couldn't go diving!!

Post a reply if you are also on the boat !!

This was a picture of the last time I did 2 tanks with him and I was just doing relaxed dives with my girlfriend and not even trying to find fish!

does he take out freedivers?

Yes he does!! Not exactly sure of the logistics with tank divers, but Conrad will even do deep tech dives with proper credentials, etc.

June's weather down here is very consistent flat. It's one of the best months to dive South Florida. Give him a call and I'll see you on the boat!!

I spoke with Capt. Conrad today – AKA Capt. Johnny – and he has warned us that he also plans to attend “The Blue Wild” kick-off party Friday night. He will accept gratuities in the form of alcoholic beverages at the party.

Maybe, after he’s liquored up, so the stories will not be too embellished, he might share some of his dive adventures with us. Such as his world record assents, his shark dives, and his cold winter morning dive and how he found his warm wind, and of course his lobster dive heroics. :D

It should be entertaining!

Dave, are you on the Friday boat too?? Wouldn't mind comparing notes with a fellow bug hunter.

Most everyone I see hunting in that area uses anything from a 42 inch up to a 60 inch gun. The majority of guns are 48 to 52 inches. Viz is usually outstanding at 50 - 70 feet so the fish do see you coming.

I wish I could go, it is always entertaining diving with Conrad, but I need to help setting up the Expo & party. See you at the party!
