Classic case of not taking 10 minutes to sit your ass down and read the swell pattern. Guy saw a lull and figured he'd go for it. He didn't realize that the first big one, the one that threw the kayak back at him right before he sat on it, was the lead wave of a set.

I taught that guy was going to drown, out there without fins, up shit creak without a paddle.
He should have known to call off the launch in that spot.
