Tally area clubs?

Is anyone aware of any Tallahassee area spearfishing clubs? I need to expand my network of spearos (preferably a few with boats :D).

Unfortunately the guy I was planning on spearing with all summer has had major boat problems and we only made it out one time. But the bug has got me and I am itching to get out and do some shooting.

I am also able to fill an open spot on a boat but keep in mind I'm a newcomer and not a seasoned veteran. I can contribute monetarily and with physical labor. I am typically only free on weekends, but I don't mind driving.

Sounds like you have the same problem we have. We just don't know enough speros to pick and choose when and where. Cajun Slinger and i are not vets of the deep either but would be clad to have you with us on the 21 of Aug. Might be a pretty good haul for you to drive though. We don't have our own boat yet so we charter a boat. Its $175.00 p/p 4 tank dives. Next year we hope to have our own boat. As far as I know the other two spots have not been filed so you are welcome to come spear with us.

I am in the Tallahassee Area and are new to spearing too. I'm looking for a group of people to spear with. not too many students have boats.

Not really a scuba club, but there are a bunch of spearos and folks with boats to get to know. Our next meeting is this Thursday.

Yeah, there'll be at least a handfull of spearos at the NFGFC meeting in Tallahassee this Thursday. You don't have to be a club member to come to the meeting.

I just moved up to tallahassee from tampa. I am also looking for a ride on weekends and maybe tuesdays and thursdays. I have plenty of diving and spearing experience, and can run a boat well. I will take care of my share of $ and labor, and I have a ice hookup in town:cool:

what's up, I am a senior at FSU and trying kill some fish up here. I would definately be interested in getting a club together. I am from miami but do my diving in the lower keys where my family has a house. I got a boat but down in the keys. My gear will be up here in October, and I am into free diving but can hold my own. Let me know what's going on with your club idea, because I know there are enough spearos in tally to make it happen.

i am from boca raton, and go to FSU for school. I am very interested in getting some spearing in as i havent gone since this summer. i have medium experience spearing, have been scuba diving for 2 years, and have recently taken up deep free-diving. back home i dont have a boat so i swam off the beach. i am willing to throw $$ and labor if anyone wants to go out. I have all my gear up here now, scuba and free diving set ups. I have never even seen what the water is like near tally, and i guess the vis is shitty inshore?? im down to go anytime, ill even skip classes

i go to fsu also and want to start spearing up here. i'm from miami and spearfish there and in marathon. my gear is in miami but i will be getting it within the next few weeks when i go down to spearfish there all weekend. don't know anyone w/ a boat here tho.
