I have 3 spots avaiable for the "Playmate". The Playmate is a 60' liveaboard that goes out of Key West and goes to Dry Tortugas. It has 4 staterooms and 2 baths/heads. Dates of trip are August 23 - 26, 2004. This is for spearfishing and lobster. After diving (5)five different liveaboards in Florida, this is the best for spearfishing. This trip is for 8 divers; we have a great time, the food is great, air & tanks included; nitrox is exta. The boat drops off individual dive teams (no mass drop) and picks you back up -- you don't have to swim back to the boat. This is not anchor diving.Four day trip is $1000 per person. We usually get in 20 -22 dives if you care to participate in all.

at that price ill take my boat thanks for the the post anyhow there other boats out there are cheaper the UG is farther away and is half that price for the same amount of time

spear_friend...Playmate is more of of a luxury type of dive trip, that's why the expense increase and they dont drop 20 divers in the water at the same time ;)

I did the UG and it was OK. You simply can't use the words Ultimate Getaway and Playmate in the same sentence as the Playmate is Completly out of the UG's league. The trip listed below is for a Four day trip, not a 2.5 dayer. I make this trip once a year just to get away.

I would agree. I have been on the UG three times. Two good trips, and one that just sucked. The crew and captain are burned out and the service was over-shadowed by the bad attitude. And it is NOT customer-oriented. The Playmate is an entirely different world.
