stringer vs bag

I am a lifetime fisherman and hunter, but new to the sport of spearfishing, and I love it so far. I will be spearing rigs out of Cameron, LA, probably 50 to 100 miles offshore, in good vis. I'm only interested in spearing edible fish, mostly stuff I can't easily catch (mangrove snapper, small groupers, eventually moving up to ling, then maybe small wahoo or tuna some day, but no AJ's, kings, cudas). I could use advice on fish stringers versus bags, and the shark variable. Also, I own a computer, but don't yet own regulator and bc. Any advice on type of bc and regulator (there are so many out there!).:confused:

Your best bet is to invite an experienced LA rig diver on your boat and watch him .You'll learn alot real fast.I couldn't imagine using a bag on the rigs ..way to cumbersome.
