ANNOUNCEMENT: Long beach Neptune's Fall Classic

Hey everyone!

The Long Beach Neptune's Fall classic is just around the corner! It is going to be held on October 9th at Catalina Island. This is a great meet, it is a gamefish meet, which includes biggest Lobster too. We have all the side dishes and beer(Keg) catered you just bring the "Meat" this meet is much more laid back and usually goes on into the evening around the bon fire. It is open to all freedivers no sponsor necessary. Lots of great folks having a great time.

Well problem is, i was going to camp in two harbors that Friday night but it appears its already all booked up!!! I don't think the Express will get me there on time Saturday morning. Any suggestions?

Call visitor services at 3105104205, ask to see if they have room in the overflow camping area. Its actually better than the campground. Its right behind the bar in two harbors. Hope this helps!

By the way, anyone who has a campsite that Saturday night and wouldn't mind me and my ol lady putting out little tent on it for the night I would really appreciate it a lot. We could only get a site for Friday night but there are no boats leaving that night that we can catch home.

If not we'll just have to stash away somewhere where no rangers will find us. Any suggestions also appreciated.

Hey guys I hate to be a douche freeloader(Willing to throw in a few bucks) but I could only get a campsite for Friday night in Two Harbors for the Neptunes fall Classic this weekend (Oct. 9th) but the problem is there is no Express boat trip back Saturday night from there so we're stuck there till Sunday with no camp site.

I wanted to see if anyone would let me and the ol' lady put our tent on your site for Saturday night so we can catch the Express on Sunday.

Unless of course anyone has space on there boat that is heading back to San Pedro that we can get on

I appreciate it guys either way.

Just wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to the Neptunes and every one who made it out. I had a blast, as I'm sure many others did. Good food, tunes, people and good ol' smack talking ;) It was great to finally meet some of you face to face, and of course the same to all those whom I already know. Also, it wasn't easy getting to work today (again), but it was so worth it! I'm already looking forward to next year. :thumps:

11.2 lb bug took it. That thing was a monster!

Big yellow was 28 and change followed by I believe another mid 20's yellow and then a 15lb halibut
Big bug was 11.2
Big Calico was 6.8

I showed up late :( with a 18lb yellow that I think would have been 3rd, an 8.2lb bug, and a 4-5lb calico.

Orion's "Liquid Mantis" rap was the most well thought out aquatic wrap I'd ever heard. Too bad the YouTube video didn't p/u the lyrics very well. We were all blown away by it. Definitely the the peak of the evening!

Ivan having to eat the heart of his first YT (Neptune Hazing) was great!

Mori was very entertaining with his Wrist Rocket and a bag of marbles....
