Spearfishing in Indiana?

Anyone ever hunted carp/gar/anything in Indiana? I'm stuck in Bloomington, and I've been having a difficult time locating some locations to try.

Hey man I used to live in Westfield Indiana. Not a hole lot of place to Spearfish! But if you come down to Sunny South Florida i will take you out to shoot some great fish!

Hey, thanks for the invite. I do move around quite a bit - seems like Florida is the destination of choice for many spearos. Maybe someday... But till then, I'm stuck in muddy Indiana...:mad:

After 20+ years visiting my family in Indiana ( Bloomington indeed :-) they taught at the school of music >>..) When my mother moved to Florida I was so happy I moved there myself. Come here to fish and stick to the irish Lion and Little Zagreb in Blmg :toast:

Nothing better than a pint at the Irish Lion, to be sure. Interesting that your family taught at Jacobs - they most likely knew my aunt - she received a master's in opera performance from there, about a decade ago. Small world...

Florida sounds lovely, but it'll have to wait to till I put the final nails in this grad school business.. Something to look forward to..

My aunt happened to be in the room when I read this message - she recognized your mother and father instantly - she remembers them well. Never studied under them, but had friends when she was in the program, she says, that did. Utmost respect for their work and talent...
