I have a 76 csx hand held, and was wondering about upgrading the mapping and charting.
What do you some of you guys use? blue charts, maps america, etc?
I am not crazy into computers so I could go without super premium features if it means less aggrevation.
If there is a better place to post this thread let me know also.
cheers,

I have the 76 csx with bluecharts and it is great. It is not really useful or necessary for the West Palm Beach area where I dive most of the time but it is awesome in the Keys and Bahamas.

I think it is very useful for navigating shallow areas in the Keys and Bahamas. It is very important in the Keys also because it shows all of the "preserve" no take boundaries. Also easily find the 3 mile line for spearing in the upper Keys.
On the boat I usually dive on we have all Raymarine electronics and Navionics charts. $$$$
For my little Carolina Skiff or a friends boat the hand-held with Blue Charts is great.

I actually updated online, my old Garmin Points of Interest CD software I had loaded on my computer. I selected the S. Fla marine points of interest and downloaded them into my new garmin handheld. Has all the info I need, including channel markers, danger zones, and wrecks.
