Yes, something has been brewing behind the scenes, and it is ready after months of tweaking. Spearfishing has a great publication already: Spearfishing Magazine. This is not meant to compete in any way. Rather, as high speed internet connections have become more widely used, I think an “online magazine” offers a unique way of delivering stories to Spearboard Members and Visitors. Specifically, the internet permits the ability to publish information very quickly, as well as spearfishing related videos. Anyway, this is my attempt at trying to get a true “web based magazine” off the ground, and I hope everyone enjoys it.

I want to offer a big thanks to Dave Earp, AJ Suarez, John Schmidt and Chad Carney for their help in getting this first issue off the ground by doing articles.

If I can possibly keep up with it, this will be a quarterly. If you have an interest in doing a future article, feel free to
email me. (scott@spearboard.com)

And yes, the publication is free to everyone, so enjoy it.

P.S.-- Here are some tips:

From the front page, you need only “click” over the front cover photo to be lead to the Table of Contents. From the Table of Contents, you can see the links to all the articles, and click on links to be taken to the articles.

All video segments were formatted for the Real Player, a popular internet video player will automatically open on most computers. However, if you encounter problems, you may need to download the free player here. (http://www.real.com/realplayer.html?pp=help&type=dl&src=011504help_1_0_0_0_0_0)

Please report any broken links or other technical problems by PM to Scott, or
email me. (scott@spearboard.com)

Look for future issues to deal things most important to spearfishermen, including product reviews, and hunting tips.
