I dove North County SD today after school. It was pretty choppy but it was only 1-2ft. The vis was probably 5-8ft but the place I was diving the surge was bad even though the swell was almost nonexistent. I managed one bug and tried deep frying it. Wow, if you haven't tried it yet you should. I'm not sure if I can go back to just grilling my lobster anymore. I used a recipe off of Google where I typed in "Deep Fried Lobster". Instead of egg I also used Buttermilk which made the batter fluffy. San Diego should get better for diving with the swell dropping and the remnants of the rain being washed away. Good luck out there!
