We've been using a gun mount for the new Hero camera, but also wanted something to hold the camera when not diving with a gun. This took about 10 minutes to build and seems to work pretty well.

I used a heat gun to melt a pvc pipe and we shoved an egg-shaped lead fishing weight in the bottom of each handle in an attempt to provide a little more stability and also to potentially allow someone to set the camera down and lean against the reef and shoot horizontally.

We used the stock Go Pro mount which transfers instantly between the Tinman gun mount and this handle.

Very clever Jim. Easy to add a small mount for a lamp or two as well. Nice rig.

I would also add a wrist loop or a bungee to one side to be able to have some extra retention confidence.

My kid took the pictures and we made the handle for him. I probably better seek out the lastest damages. I don't even know where the picture was taken.:lol:
