Anyone here ever dove "The Horseshoe" or "The Football Field" out of Lantana/WPB? I heard the horseshoe is fishy. Might check it out in April.

I'll let you know. Headed down in the am to WPB. We'll spend a week hunting the area. I'll talk to my buddy (capt) and see if he knows where they are. Definitely like to find someplace that holds a lot of fish.

I don't remember those spots exactly but always saw tons of shooting sized fish while diving up in Boynton/Delray. Took nice snappers and hogs from there all the time. Lost a 3 foot long grey snapper on the English Muffin reef once.

Yeah, but ended up on a different boat. (long story) We headed south from Boyton Inlet, and dove Boyton Ledge & Tumbled Rocks. I wasn't allowed to bring my gun, as I was doing my EANx cert. dives, which I thought was BS. No great loss, as I only saw a coupla shootable snapper. Seems like there's only ornamemtals down there. Wind was WSW 10-15, 1'-2' seas, water temp 70*, vis 30' max. CROWDED 34' er. Long 18 hr./550 mi. day.

Wow, sounds like a long day.
We had charters scheduled for Sat and Sun but both got blown out. Not too much going on, just watching the weather. Most everyone is ready for some diving.
I have a trip planned for the keys (Marathon) to do some hunting in late March or early April. Now it's just divemaster on the Seadogdiver until then.

Later,
Paul

Paul, of the 3 dive boats (SeaDogs,Starfish,Loggerhead) I've been on, you guys are by far the best. You and J.B. ROCK! Gotta love that Newton, too!

Thanks,

I passed on your comments to JB via email. I was just on the phone with him.

I'll keep everyone posted on conditions as we start to dive.

Paul
