well, there you have it... an apex predator right in your back yard. Look at the bright side- At least the day when these photos were taken that shark was somewhere other than where you were.

Was that the same great white that was stuck and they were trying to get him out? I saw something on the news about that but I cant remember the area.
Very cool though and awfully nice of her. How about that! :)

I actually heard they taged it, and let it be cause the thing was healthy. I was reading that the tracking tag will eventually pop of the shark, and float to the surface-when it does it will send all the information at once via radiowaves. Thw whole history of the sharks movement will be recorded. When that happens it would be killer to see the data! ...Or maybe not!(lol)

That does sound like it could generate some great data. I guess it's not everyday you get to tag a great white, so this is a great opportunity! Nice! :)

The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries has created a webpage for information about the shark. Nice page with update reports, pictures, and high resolution video. Due to the crowds expected this weekend, they have restricted access to the area.

Sure - as long as you stone it! Uhh - you got 1,700 lb mono shooting line? Think about this...the shark is the same length as a Scupper Pro. Of course its about 1,670 lbs heavier...
I just want to make sure that it stays put until Monday. Sakonnet's within a days swim for something that size!
Supposed to be a press conference today at 4pm...stay tuned

I think the tower is a great idea...as long as you bring the M1 rifle also!

Go home sharky! Bad shark! SIT!
When that shark gets out of that salt pond, it is going to be very hungry, pissed off, and tired of seeing humans!
