I think for the spectra line to use in slip tips, you need the hollow spectra that allows you to pull the rope back into the spectra and out. Not sure if spearitco have that, but they have great band material and the best band tying cord and other stuff.

I usually go to Annapolis Performance Sailing and pick up either the vectrus (vectran) or amsteel (spectra/dyneema)

The store is about half an hour from home.... Try checking around if there is a sailing store around you, they might have some line.
