The RI Open was held on Sunday and is the last meet of the season. The results;
1) John Warnock 62.8
2) Anne Doherty 59.2
3) Ted Warnock 54.8
3) Jay Moore 54.8

This was the last competition of the year for all the divers except Anne Doherty, who will be competing in the World Championships in Chile. She reports taking all her fish in the first hour of the meet. It's been three years since a diver weighed in a false albacore in one of the Northeast meets.

Met him @ ft wetherill this summer, he was there every day I was (4 days straight) that guy is amazing, he had 10 FAT tog in his cooler every day I saw him plus a monster striper. What really impressed me was his willingness to share his knowledge. He told me right where to go, put me right on the fish. You rarely find that. Most guys guard their spots like they were their virgin daughters. Super nice guy.

Ted Warnock tied for third place. His scores in this meet as well as the MA and NY Opens, earned him the title of North Atlantic Champion. This was the 13th time Ted won the title. He chided the field a bit about "letting" a 66 year old guy win.

Did Rene Potvin competed in R.I. Open?

If he's not second, he generally means he's not there!
