Very cool. A few suggestions for you though. If you are using a 5/16 shaft switch to a 9/32 for the reef fish with 2 bands and there will be less recoil for the shots. Also, try and get SUPER close to the fish so we can really feel like we're there!! That water looked pretty nice. Thanks for taking the time to put that together.

Thanks! I actually have a 90cm seasniper 2 bands 9/32, I usually use for reef fish, but I doesn't have a 3M mount for my GoPro. Plus I was hoping I'd luck into something bigger. :)

Youre probably smart running more power all the time. Never know when the 50 lbr is gonna cruise by.

Cool video!

What kind of gun mount do you have for your GoPro? Do you like it?

I'd like something I can where I don't have to drill a hole in my gun...I've been waiting for Mako but they're not out yet.

I bought the GoPro HD hero package from Mako. It comes with a surfboard mount which I placed on my bow of my boat. This One (http://www.makospearguns.com/product-p/mgpchdnh.htm)

They sell a package (only 960 camera (http://www.makospearguns.com/product-p/mgpchd96.htm)) with all the right parts for spearfishing, such as the headlamp, FLAT 3M mount, and an articulating arm. I use this arm see pic below. But I had to buy their grab bag to get it, also, I am interested in the headlamp strap too.

It is secured via a 3M adhesive mount. I also am going to build a leash, but it seems pretty secure.

It seems to work so far, but you can't hammer down the articulating arm, so it may move if you bump it on kelp, or something else. I had to adjust it a couple times but it was minimal, and not a big deal.

Something I do all the time myself, forget to take down the dive flag. Mine usually hits me on the head when it comes out of the rod holder.

I actually rolled it up, but it came a little loose, and was whipping. :D

Thanks for the info Chris. I'll have to look into that option. I have the same camera without the articulating arm. I like the leash idea as a backup.
