Not really advisable, diving in extremely busy shipping lanes with 180 ton size animals, but how awesome would it be to dive alongside such a creature?

I'd rather have one of them get hit by a tanker so I could see the great whites eat it.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I heard a whale while diving Catalina last week, and that was pretty cool. Sounded very similar to this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/08/Blue_Whale_South_Pacific.ogg

it's pretty cool :)

Alot of times when the whales get hit by a ship, the whale is pinned at the bow with the ship unaware that anything is wrong. The whale eventually drowns and half a dozen times that I know of, the whale is brought into the harbor with the ship to the dock.
The whale will then slip off and then I get work.
I've towed 6 whales out of the harbor past catalina towards san clemente island and then set them adrift.
