In all seriousness.... I respect that the mods have a hard job with such an unruly community and all. I also respect that they have rules. However, I am having trouble finding them.... can anyone help? This is all I found:

http://www.spearboard.com/forumdisplay.php?f=52

These can't be the rules because they don't seem to apply. Why is TopTuna banned but Bill Mac isn't? TopTuna linked to another active spearboard thread. Not one that was locked/deleted/moderated but an actual legal thread and his thread gets locked? Bill follows up with several vicious personal attacks against TopTuna, myself and others and nothing happens? Does that mean that if I have 33,000 posts, I can do whatever I want and the rules don't apply? Why isn't Bill on the same one-week sebatical that Toptuna is?

Toptuna's thread had no cussing and no name-calling and it was obviously spearfishing related since it linked to another thread in a separate spearboard "report" forum.

Also, since when is having a super awesome sig line with snoopy in it a bad thing? According to wikipedia, snoopy is: "among the most recognizable comic characters in the world". That is pretty darned cool. yet it was all deleted mysteriously..... with the explanation that because we have a snoopy sig, we would be "they are all about to be removed and locked". What is with that and where is that rule?

Gasoline on the fire....... just saying.

I posted a photo which could be considered indecent and got dinged for it..... fair enough. I can see how that applies.

I am happy to go back to being a peaceful and respectful denizen of spearboard but some of this deserves an explanation other than:

"A week for Incessant, attacking, annoying, provocative, silly posting. That is the reason. Bill had nothing to do with the decision.

Brett broke the rules one too many times this go round. He had recently received an infraction for personal attacks."

How can a rule that doesn't exist be broken? where is the rule against: "incessant, attacking, annoying, provocative, silly posting"?

I can respect the banning if there had actually been a personal attack on Bill. What we are talking about was a link to another spearboard thread. One which Bill followed up with several personal attacks and nothing apparently happens?

Americans will respect authority..... as long as there is equality and fairness. Otherwise, you get childish opposition...... especially on the internet.
