I want to make a go pro mount for my Riffe 110 Euro. I am going to make a mounting bracket that attaches to the reel inserts since I use a breakaway system and dont use a reel. I'm at work though and not near my gun so I was wondering if anyone is near a Riffe gun or reel and can tell me what the distance is between those inserts so I can try to do this today before I go home.

Thanks

-Matt

I actually saw that thread and like that idea a lot too. I was just hoping to get the dimensions so could whip something up today to use tomorrow.

Actually, now that I think about it it might be cool to make another mount that would let me mount the camera and the reel at the same time.

I have an Euro 110 w/ reel as well and spend $4 in setting a gopro mount.

I unscrewed one of the two bolds that go though the gun around the firing mechanism. Then bought a bolt that was about 2 inches longer and 10 nuts. I screwed the bolt, the nuts and placed the gopro at the very end. The gopro stop nut happens to the same diameter so it works out.

Each nut has to be tightened before you put the next, or else the recoil from the firing mechanism will move the camera.

I've tested it and it looks pretty good.

I'll post pictures tomorrow. :gun:

Here it is. I might raise the angle of the camera in the future. But for now it works great.

Anyone know if old mounts will work on hero2s?

I just got my GoPro HD 1080 yesterday...and didn't want to lose this one like my other one. I decided make a mount to my gun and so far everything seems to be great. I tighted the Sh!t out of each bolt so it won't flip downwards from the recoil. I will be diving tomorrow, will keep you posted on how it worked. :toast: (the base is not only stiicking to the wood, it is also bolted down) Added a fishing line string connected to the side of the but and to the camera, just incase something happens, my camera is safe =)
