Oh boy, last day for grouper and New Years Eve to boot. Jumped on Friend Scotts' boat the Forth Leaf, and set out to sea with fish on the menu, large fish that is.
1st drop, large ray with cobia, but none were legal size, but was nice to see them. Island Fever finds the 1st gag.
Scott drops in for his turn, chases a couple of very smart blacks, and runs down a nice almost 9lbs. hog.
next, it's my turn.. before i hit the bottom i see this red that is so fat it looked like a pig, she turned to run so i shot it. come to find out that she had just eaten a trigger fish. then by the end of the dive out shoots this gag with my name on it, it was fast but not fast enough for the Koah. here are a couple of pics.
show me your New Years Eve pics of fish, and have a safe and Happy New Year.:D

What a great way to end the year and grouper season. Bring on the Cobia :D

Happy New Year!!!

very nice, how were the conditions?

We spent the whole day north on Jupiter Inlet and had 72-74 degree water with mild north current and viz from 40-50' and getting better as the day went on.
