I just bought a hero 2 and have taken it on a few dive trips and the quality of the video isn't as good as id like it to be. I was wondering what setting I am supposed to have it on for underwater video.

Without the flat lens the underwater stuff will look very lackluster and poor. There are many flat lens options out there, we have some options in a glass or plastic lens if you care to check out:

The video quality underwater is going to be terrible! Especially anything within 4-5 feet.

It is unfortunate that divers are still buying the camera and being blind-sided by the unacceptable quality underwater with the stock housing.

I use the MAKO flat lens (like $21) and it makes all the difference in the world!

Dano gives the lens out for free if you buy the camera from him.

You would think GoPro would be giving them away since they are the ones selling the underwater housing and making all the dough on the camera. I guess it takes a business person like Dano to step-up and correct their mistakes.
To sell something that knowingly doesn't work correctly, and version 2, is the reason I still don't own one.

Go pro will be releasing a flat lens housing in Winter 2012 for $50. That's what I'm waiting for before I buy the Hero 2.

The only way to fix the blurring is to get a flat lens.

There is no quick fix to that problem.

You also should add a color correction filter to your flat lens to get better colors in your underwater videos.

Take a look at: Ursuslab: Color Correction Filter Pack AQUA3 (http://ursuslab.com/FlatLenses/Oculus/Oculus_Flat_Lens_Color_Correction_Filter_Pack_AQUA 3.php)

and: http://Subzero-System: Underwater housing for GoPro 50 (http://www.subzero-system.de/sub_zero/product_info.php/info/p6_sub-zero-Underwater-housing-for-GoPro-50-.html)

Kind Regards,
