I stumbled across this interesting California Off-Topic treasure trove of mermaids in motion. The CEO has a 5 minute static breathhold and is very much an environmental educator. Her position on fishing is unknown.

We should ask the "Drama Department" to create some Mono-finned mermen and mermaids who spearfish and can teach children and the public about loving the ocean and enjoying the resource in the most environmentally-friendly of take methods.

Linden is a friend of mine. She is an advocate of sustainable spearfishing , eats fish, but is opposed to any shark killing as over 79 million sharks are killed yearly worldwide and populations have declined significantly.
She can dive over 100ft with that mermaid tail, is an Aida competition judge, and lives in Los Angeles.

That is wonderful that she is an advocate of sustainable spearfishing. She is a smart environmental teacher who gets her messages out in a clever way. Hunters are the best environmentally-concerned people who want the resource to supply renewable food and sport for all future generations to come. Good on Linden. :cool:
