freshwater spearing in Georgia?

Does anyone know or understand the rules for freshwater spearing in Georgia? I want to practice in the lake near my house with rubber gloves but, I am afraid of the Man coming up on me and giving me a fine/boat removal because I have a speargun in the boat.

Its a big NO NO all you can shoot are trash fish. Just like bowfishing. But I bet a big ass gator gar would be fun.
