I am not aware of any beach diving in Palm Coast. I think you have to go a bit South for that. Also, the weather is not looking real calm as of right now.
I'm sorry I had to provide bad news. Good luck.

You never know, he might be able to get a whiting in the surf with a flouder gig! LOL
Best bet in the Hammock is to enjoy the peace and quiet if it's still like that. Go up to St. Augustine and play tourist for a day and eat at my best friend's restaurant. The Purple Olive. It's in St. Augustine Beach and worth the 30 min drive!!

The hammock is the one place in NE florida that does have some good shore diving .There is an area just south of Marineland that has a large naturual coquina rock reef just off the beach . Lots of large sheephead and some mangos too. The surf needs to be somewhat clean and calm .I have not done it in about 5 years ,but did real well freediving it .You can also go freediving around Matanzas inlet for stone crabs . Season closes May 15th. No spearfishing in the inlet . Too close to the jetties and bridge according to the law.

Washington Oaks State Park.... You know. I didn't even think of that. I've never actually tried to dive there. I've never been there when it was clean enough to even think about trying...
I have gotten stone crabs in Matanzas though. Many, many years ago. When I was probably 12 or 13...
