i went out tuesday for the first time in hopes of spearing some fish. i went to Salt Creek in Dana Point and dove off the beach. I kicked out about 200 yards to the kelp paddies. water vis was about 25'... perfect conditions. i am still learning about my new environment... stalking, not making alot of noise, being more fluid in actions and movements, etc. I managed 4 sandbass (14-18"). what an amazing experience. i took some pics and hope to post them soon.
i am looking forward to hunting white sea bass in Palos Verdes with julie riffe in late march (when she gets back from louisiana... it must be tough getting paid to shoot fish all around the world... dream job)
i should have some sweet pics then.
