Working for a pool company again.. and I have access to all the older lifeguard soft foam rescue tubes that are thrown out when they are replaced. I picked 2 up in different sizes yesterday while working, I plan to test their lift capacity and see if i can set them up for a great float that tracks across the water faster then any float Ive used, and will work well. I think they will be best for liveboat freediving applications, and multiple tubes can be rigged together for more lift. Stay tuned.

they compress very quickly and lose buoyancy ,not much use for spearfishing .

Still gonna give it a shot either way, cant hurt to see how one would work for a possible beach dive float if i get a little creative.

These are the floats that I use. The lifeguard cans I use for the rigs and blue water, the hard bullet float I use around the jetties and right off the beach to keep my stringer and just in case I run into a big king mack or the random monster ling. The small round bouy float I use for a back-up float with 75' of line on it in case my two lifeguard floats get pulled down.

Never tried it, cut it up to make a floating bait pen.

nothing new bro, the Hawaiian guys been using it for years. It's great to keep your fish stringer, drinks, dive flag and velcro your extra spearguns. But they suck for big pelagics but since you're in FL you won't be shooting 100-300lb fish anytime so it should be great for your needs.

Bro I think you missed the part where I hacked it into pieces and never used it :D
