View Full Version : Nice day offshore, Nice fish, and great weather aboard Awesome Angler!!

The weather could not have been better, just a little breeze and perfect conditions.. We went out to 50 foot of water and dove some rock piles.. limit out on some fair size hogs, and 6 nice keeper gag's.. The vis was right at 40 foot!!! Nice spearfishing vis.. On the second dive when I hit the bottom there was about 15 keeper gag's that bolted on me.. one was 20 pound plus!!! I ended up spearing several of them, but I dont know where these fish went to.. I swam all around in the direction they went, and never seen them again... The keepers looks like they are coming in, and lots of the rocks I have been diving has plenty of keeper gag waiting for your spear to enter their head!!! Go get them... hey jay.nice fish.i can tell you where those gags went.about 8 mls north to some rock piles out of homosassa.you gonna be out next sat.i gotta get my boat in the water,its been sitting for 2 months.do you think the fish population is better up here,as opposed to pasco and pinellas.just curious what your opinion is.i think there are more fish up here because i rarely see anyone spearfishing up here.how often do you see any slingers out of bayport...dave

Dabull hope you got room for me I would like to get my one bro out too. He just started shooting this year and the hogs would be right up his alley.

This fish had me locked up in the rocks several times before I could turn him.. a SWEET gag came to the surface once he lost the battle...
