Let's use this thread for any questions about new forum features. I see some of you guys are using the photo gallery features, so perhaps questions can be answered here about that. I am just learning it myself. This new photo feature will now allow you to keep photo albums on spearboard, and you can email links to friends and family. Your photos will also be randomly featured on the home page.

The new forum does more, as well, and I'll post here some new features as I see them. Others may post here about anything new they have noticed. If there is a problem that needs to be fixed, post instead in the punchlist (http://www.spearboard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14913) thread that has been started, so that I can make sure stuff gets fixed.

I've got plans for the old home page, Roland. It's too cool with the animation to scrap.

You could probably add to the shockwave, make it bigger or maybe get some of Ben's video of a fish being shot turn it into a shockwave video homepage make it clickable to take us to the forum. my .02 I like the idea of keeping the home page clean and simple but some cool video would be great.

With the photo gallery......we've got Member Galleries and A Category. With the 'A Category' section, is that designed to be used like "Grouper pic's", "AJ pic's", "Snapper pic's" :confused:

OK. I was in the photo section. Couldn't figure out how to get out. Clicked New Posts, but it stayed in the photo section. Could not figure out how to go anywhere useful actually. How do you jump from there to the forums. And one time at band camp......my flute slipped.....

Sorry I just felt like I was in high school again. Back to the forum's question........

How do we get images to show up in posts as a pic rather than a link to it? :confused:

I too got stuck in the photos section and couldnt get out. There didnt seem to be a link to forum there. To be honest its a little too easy to get stuck in the photo section or end up there. I try to avoid it now just to avoid getting trapped, and im a regular. The pics seem to send you all over the place too in no particular order. If I could make a suggestion....maybe put all those photo links at the bottom of the page, then you could check out the forum and scroll down to see some pics if you like. Right now it looks like a picture forum that you can search and find a messageboard. Take a look at what you get for a home page. You cant see a single thread or forum just some pics at the bottom of the page.

Photo sec work around for now, scroll to the bottom and click the link for Spearboard.com then click on forum. or just set SB as your home page and click your HP button at the top of your browser. Brian: one pic at a time. two or more show up as links.

Go to the manage Images button at the bottom and another window will open up. I had some issues with even finding where to upload a pic to SB, but now it seems to be alright, once I knew where it was.

For some reason, some threads you cannot upload pics too.

I got stuck in the photo section too. It appears as if a link back to the forum page is broken. Also, the new logo at the top of every page could serve as a link back to the forum main page.

Kept getting errors (30 sec timeout) when uploading pics. Tried several times.

Then went to gallery, and woops, it loaded all of them each time. Sorry.

Scott, I was looking for an older thread. What is the trick to finding one from near the begining? I have my options set to show all threads.

After we upload photo's I know they have to wait to get approved. Do we need to request the approval separately or is it up to the Mods. I think me and Louis R. have some loaded last week.
