Anyone up for a dive this Saturday? East wind has been blowing pretty hard last two days, maybe get some viz at the reef? Might be cool to check out the aftermath of all the flooding even if the diving is lust so-so. I leave Camarillo at 7am if anyone wants to carpool. Marty

No takers huh? Okay, I'll post the conditions after I get back. They are killing the white sea bass at Santa Rosa island right now, big fat croakers!! Hope they are there next week when I can get out there. No one wants to hit a submerged sixty foot eucalyptus tree at twenty knots in the middle of the ocean. Psyche. :D

Yeah Waldo, I went farther south to the reef, got in the water about 8am. Sorry I missed you, maybe next time. Just look for a blue Chevy pick up with white tool boxes on it, or better yet just call me and we'll meet up somewhere. The viz was pretty good on the outside reef, about 15'-20' in spots. There was a definite murk line in shallow, I think it was from all the silt deposited on the beach from the storms, and when the tide comes in it takes the silt back out. Anyway, how did you do at Deere Creek? Sometimes monster white sea bass come through there, I've gotten all my big ones at Deere Creek. I haven't been able to break the 40 pound barrier yet, but for the coast anything over twenty pounds is awesome. I'd like to dive Palos Verdes a lot more this year, the big croakers love it down there. I believe the world record still belongs to Skip Helen? That was eight years ago so who knows now. Right now at Santa Rosa island the they are killing the seabass. There has been so much squid in the water these last couple of years that there HAS to be a wsb over a hundred pounds out there. My dad and I are going to try to get out there next weekend, hopefully they will still be there. Talk to you soon. Marty
