Who will be the first to register a snapper? I know Financial Advis. has one that is worth of registration. Of course, getting him to post a pic might require a formal Act of Congress.

This is johnny longfins, he got this 36", 22# mutton off the Thunderbolt in about 120fsw. It shook his shaft and I hooked it up with my line shaft. Good teamwork.

Try hitting it about 3" higher, and 3" forward. We call it the "Head" :D

I didn't take the first shot I was just on clean-up. It's kind of hard to hit a fish when it is flipping out trying to shake a shaft, you'll have to tell me the secret. Take it from JFK and the guy that got powerheaded in the leg a projectile doesn't always exit the hole it should. The other side of that snapper id much more professional looking, first shot at top corner of gillplate, the angle of tragectory made it come out the gut by the pectorial fin. But the shot I took was definitely all gut, at least it is in the boat.

are you trying to use conspiracy theories to cover up the meat shot. lemme guess you were just a innocent bystander on the grassy knoll. why don't you and john get out there and get that 485# mutton i saw two weeks ago?

Here's a 19 lb Genuine Red. There were some other one's out there bigger, but very wary. And next to me is Rob's other Hog that was bigger than the picture above. Great day on the water. Thanks for the entry. Les
PS. I know it's a bad shot, but I was crossing all fingers that I actually hit something. 12-14' shot.

Here's what happens sometimes when you decide to abandon your regular numbers and try something new...like find your own ledges or rockpiles in areas you suspect might be holding something. Sometimes you just waste time, sometimes you find a little bit of sunken treasure that is a bit red rather than gold...one spot-a small 1-foot high ledge about 15 yards long, one dive each...left a bunch of snapper this size down there because limit's 2 per person.
I need to take more pics. We get a lot of mango's--some that get pretty big, especially off of the wrecks. I should get a pic of one of the big mango's out here--you guys would flip on these things!!
That's the biggest 2 snapper pics I have. Everything else is small-average.

Fernandezh.......We need to deduct 40 lbs from your total for giving up on that 40 pounder. When you get a chance at a fish that big, the dive aint over 'till the bubbles stop coming out. :D
Nice fish everybody!

got this one the other day. I think it may be a little small. Still a clean shot. Just kidding, found this on another site and thought it deserved your attention. It was Seahunters.com. Looks like a Carp to me.
