Left the dock Sunday morning with Bad English, ReefTails, Shooter Dan and myself. Upon entering the ocean we are greeted with flat calm seas. After about a 35-minute ride at 4200 rpm we stop at the first drop.
Bad English and ReefTails are up. While they are suiting up this thing starts to cover us…

While they are down the winds pick up to a steady 20 knots and the seas are now 3’ to 4’ with a blown out chop. Up comes a few spineys along with slippers.
Next up are Shooter Dan and I. Nice little honey hole only .32 miles from the first drop, I drag the buoy due to the winds and seas building. Up comes a hand full of bugs and slippers.
Now the next wave of the storm comes through. While Bad English and ReefTails are down.

For about 2 minutes the wind stops only to pick back up to about 25 knots and the seas now turn to a solid 4’ to 5’ with an occasional 6’ to 7’ plowing through. Upon getting them back into the boat. We now have more tails in the boat in only three dives then we did in with six dives last week. So I tuck my tail a little and make the call to head back in. 10:45 AM, 14 spineys, 6 slippers and a hog of a sea bass. Vis on the bottom was 20’ to 25’ but hazy, up top down to about 70’ it was like diving in the Key’s! Not a speck of snot or current, freckin Awesome!!! Bottom temp 68 degrees. If only the weather held out, the limit would be had. One Dive for Shooter Dan and I, two dives for Bad English And ReefTails.
