I have had trouble locating the current official bahamas fishing regulations. Can anyone help me out with that? Also if anyone can just tell me a few of these things it would help:
Do strawberry grouper have to be 3 pounds like all other grouper?
Are you allowed to spear legal sized lobster?
Is there any size limit for hogfish or any type of snapper?
This may sound weird, but are you allowed to get turtles, and if so are you allowed to spear them?
Thanks for the help.

From my experience, Strawberry Grouper do not have to be 3lbs. It is hard to find one that is 3 lbs. Everybody keeps strawberries regardless of size b/c they are so good to eat. I am not 100% sure, but my experience says go for it on the strawberries. You are allowed to spear legal sized lobster in season only. The rules are very strict on out of season lobster, but once you are in season you can shoot them and they are not that picky about size. I do not think that there is a posted legal length or weight on snapper or hogfish in the bahamas, but many people do look down upon slaughtering juvenile fish. There are plenty of nice size hogs and snapper to get, so there is no reason to shoot evrything you see. turtle is off limits to americans. Bahamians get them all the time and they even sell it in restaraunts.
I have been borded many of times by bahamian boats and the things that they are looking for are:
Bahamian fishing liscence
under 3lb grouper
Out of season lobster
Out of season conch
Spear guns
Tanks
Everything else is cool!!!
