I hear its on the colorado river at willow beach on the 23rd in arizona im pretty sure, and as far as I know its all carp shooting i hear they are really soft any suggestions in gear for hunting them? I hear the vis is supposeed to be good so i was considering using my 110 but if its crappy ill probiably use my 75. does anyone know if its better to hunt carp w/ a 5 prong tip rather than just a normal euro shaft? I heard it might be better because they are super soft but i dono cuz ive never shot one.

Thanks!

We've been shooting Buffalo here in LA. since Feb. they are a close relative of the Carp and we have had no problems shooting them with regular shafts. We use JBL 38 specials up to the 450 magnums and no problems.

Hey guys, thanks for the help!!

Ryan, do you have more info on the tourney?? I know I read Terry Lentz's advice on the tourney, but don't know where that sheet/email went...

I think i'll struggle the first couple minutes weighting properly in the freshwater!!

Thanks!!!

I've got a great recipe for carp but you need a 2 x 4 and some bailing wire.

Check the regulations on spears. Oklahoma does not allow more than 3 prongs on the shaft, dont know about the regs in Arizona though...
