Meal Tickets

I have probably typed this in several other threads (not to mention the rules), but every year, the concept of meal tickets draws a lot of questions. So, this is the Meal Ticket thread, and will hopefully help clear up questions.

Let’s break this down to people who have registered, and those who have not.

Registered

If you have registered, you do not need to worry about paying for a meal ticket. It is included in your entry, and there will be a meal ticket waiting for you after you weigh your fish. If for some reason you don’t weigh fish, then just find the meal ticket table on Sunday and pick up your ticket. You have nothing more you need to do….you are taken care of.

Not Registered

As for family, friends, or anyone else you want to bring who is not registered, there are a couple of different ways to get them meal tickets. First, as many of you have done, for a mere $10.00, you can buy meals on your registration form. About 85 of these extra tickets have been purchased. If you purchased your extra tickets when you turned in your registration form, the extra tickets will be in the bag along with your ticket on Sunday after you weigh your fish.

If you are registering tonight at the Captain’s Meeting and want extra tickets, no problem. Simply indicate on the form, and also for $10 per ticket, you can get the extra tickets. You will also pick up your ticket and any extra tickets after weighing fish.

If you are NOT registering, and no one will be buying a ticket for you during registration, you can still come to the event and watch. This is a question I have been getting: “I can’t make it to shoot in the Spearboard Open, can I come to watch?” Yes, you can. If you’d like to have a meal, then you can get a meal ticket. One of two ways: 1) Come to the Captain’s Meeting tonight and buy one or more. You may then pick up your ticket Sunday by going to the meal ticket table. OR, 2) Paypal me for the meal tickets. Send $10.50 (extra .5 to cover paypal fees) per ticket to smcperso@tampabay.rr.com, and give me the name of each person getting a ticket. You can do this until 9:00AM Friday, May 20, then it is cut off.

We may have a few extra meal tickets for sale on Sunday morning, but do not count on that.

I am going in to all this detail because I want everyone to be able to get a meal if they’d like. The BBQ meal served by Pit Boss has been great.
