Our Season opener offshore Carolina Beach, May 7,8 Neptune stired up the vis after some gale force winds a day earlier. Seas were 3/4 Sat but vis too poor to spearfish[ 2 ft] so Spearit put us on the Megladon beds 20 miles out & we found a shit load of Megladon shark teeth.
Sunday Spearit ran 35 miles Northeast to the Lobster wreck and there we found blue water , 100s of jacks, but as we hit the top of the wreck Neptune kept us in the stew all the way to the bottom. A depressing 4 ft vis hovering on the wreck. Capt Tom then went the extra mile for us and headed south 40 miles searching for vis the whole way. Nada. Then he took us back to the Megladon beds and found 15 ft vis and saved the day w/ another Meg Shark tooth hunt. At least we got 80+ Meg shark teeth for the trip
