I was talking to "Big Buddy" Rafe Antil and he was trying to decide where and when the rodeo should be. The note we left on was the third week in August, out of Venice for the Council Rodeo.

Any of the other clubs have never dove this rodeo, you really need to try to get too it. It's a blast. Get'em, hope to see you guys and girls.

Rafe is bankrolling the shootout paying for the T-Shirts, prizes, food, and beer. Special Thanks to GIT ‘EM for coming up with the first $150.

Council Members.

SHOOTOUT
The question was asked: Does a member of a Council Club, have to be paid up on the Derby Board in order to dive the Council’s Shootout? NO. All Council members and prospective members may participate. The Derby Board fee is not for membership but to pay for the awards. The Club fee of $50 pays for membership to the Council of all members in a club who is a full member under the said club by-laws. A special; Five (5) Aqua Aces have committed to the Shootout. It looks like a record turnout. Members may enter the Derby Board any time of the year. I will be on hand at Venice if any member wish to pay their $30 fee prior to diving.

If any member wishes to dive the Shootout but does not have a ride out, call me @ 504 833-1884 or e-mail @ tgmigaud@cox.net and I will try to find you a ride. If any member has a boat that is not full also let me know and I try to help you fill it. Shootout is Friday, July 15 and Sat. July 16. The Rules stated the weight in would be Sat only, but after due consideration, we will weight on Friday also so divers may take care of their fishes. Please remember divers are responsible for their fishes after weighting in. NEW LA FISHING LICENSE IS DUE JULY 1ST.

You may go on line to: www.wlf.state.la.us click “Online Hunting and Fishing License Sales”
DEAL: If you 60 or older you may purchase a lifetime hunting and fishing license for $60.
