I have a very good air powered spear gun I would like to sell. I don't know who made it other than it says "Airrow" & "Swivel Machine Works" on it. It is in a real nice waterproof case that looks like a briefcase made by Underwater Kinetics. It breaks down into about 6 parts, and when all together is about 5' long.
It looks like an assault weapon more than a speargun! One of the nice things about it is the airrow it shoots, (which has 2 dart heads, a large and a small) gets it's air power way up inside it so it will fly straight and long, rather than pushing on the back of it. I have looked up stuff like this and it seems to be worth aprox. $1600 to $2100 new, the guy I got it from said it was about $1800 when he got it. I will send a picture if you are interested and you can make an offer. I would like to get as close to $500 for it as I can, and I will take the kighest offer. Thank you.

2K for a speargun? Man, it better come with a BJ or 10!

Never heard of a speargun like this. Are you sure it is meant to kill fish and it is not some type of super-duper airgun? I would also like to see a pic.

Seems to be more like a harpoon than a speargun.

That's some James Bond looking shit there. Pretty cool. Wonder what the range on it is.

recoil! Aren't those illegal? To much power....shoot a shaft thru a tree type stuff!

I didn't think they made these anymore. Must be an old one. I am pretty sure they are illegal in Florida but it may have value for a collector. Pretty cool looking but short of harpooning a whale, I don't think it is good for much else.

I've always thought these are illegal. My dad used to have an old CO2 gun with a tank on it bigger than a Spare Air. My uncle has it now.

There she is! A "mans man" spear gun! The big air tank holds 5 shots, the little tube holds a single C02 cart. and is good for 1 shot. I think you can regulate the power of the shot by how hard you pull the trigger, for full power you pull all the way hard. The airrow tips screw on and there are sizes for small fish to shark size for it. The stock is adjustable or you can leave it off. The whole thing is very well built, rugged yet light, even the case is top notch. I think the guy said it would go about 100 yards on land, I really can't remember. I do know it is very powerful and can be used for a wide range of fish. That larger airrow tip has a long rod on it to go into larger fish, the small tip that is on the airrow is for smaller fish. You can put this thing together or take it apart in less than 2 minutes, and it is very easy to store in the trunk of a car or other small place, the case takes up no more room than a regular brief case. If anyone has any questions or would like to make an offer, please feel free to email me at dmachine@earthlink.net and I will try to help you. Thank you very much.
PS, I want to thank richhermes for posting the pictures.

Gentlemen,

AIRROW is the model, Swivel Machine is the company that makes them. This "gun" is a Harpoon. The one on the previous photo is the old model. The new model looks like M-16 or AR-15 military auto rifles. Commercial Blue Fin Tuna fishery I heard uses them, that was what the manufaturer rep told me. They shoot from the boat when the tuna comes close to the surface. Many 500+ pounds been landed, so he said. I have emailed them a long time ago but they could not answer my most important question properly : Will it last when I use it for scuba diving at 150 feet and what power reduction will occur if the entire barrel is submerged in water ?

No doubt this gun is air tight because C02 is at 1,800 psi but the alumimum parts might jammed ( corossion ) up when used often for scuba hunting, that I fear.

The model on the previous photo (discontinued) is about US$1,200 for basic set-up many years ago but it lacks the pneumatic trigger that makes the new highest end M-16 look-a-like model more powerful ( AIRROW MODEL A-8SH1 STEALTH US$1,700 ).

This latest STEALTH ( photo attached ) is a multi purpose gun. With barrel change you can shoot arrow for deer, rescue float with lines up to 300 feet, shoot those FBI claw ( what u call that in English ? ) for climbing buildings. It even comes in airgun model shooting 0.177, 0.25 and 0.38 caliber pellet !!.

Dmachine,
If yours is the type like the photo attached, I will pay US$500 no bargaining as long as it is in good and working condition. Too bad yours is the old model. I am after this unit for sometime already but I been figuring out how can it survive constant scuba use and how do I pass the airport custom security with such thing  ??

Have you actually use it while scuba hunting ??

Thanks
IYA
