For those who do not know Today June 15 is opening day for Spearfishing in Maryland. More to come! :D

I do not know why there is a season but we hope to have that changed. It seems to me that all spearfishing regs. should be the same as line fishing. At least in tidal salt water. I hope to see that and the reg on no spearfishing striped bass changed.

O' I got a 6lb Tog. using a 50 cm Omer Excaliber with a 5 prong tip. This was the right gun set up for the 3 to 4 foot vis. and tight spaces of the shollow water wreck I was hunting. The wreck is a trawler in 15 feet of water. This makes for a lot of surge in very confined spaces. The five prong to the head shut the fish down instantly. Fresh fish for dinner on opening day and still made it to work on time. A good day! :)
