Can you East coast divers let us West coast divers know when the visability there warrants towing a boat across the state?
It's a real bad day when we get there and cannot see the end of our tickel sticks.
You can email me anytime for a Gulf report.
Thanks!

Vis was 15-20 in 100' off of Daytona on Saturday the 28th. Went back out on Sunday with enough tanks for an army and it had turned to mud overnight. Thermal moved in and must have brought the soup with it.

9/28 Visability was 40 foot out in 140-150ft.....moved in to 105 for our last dives and the vis dropped to about 10 feet. The bottom surge also picked up in the shallow area.

My$in, where ( generally) is "little wreck" we never found any vis last sun- went from hh-ah all the way south to ss.

Last sunday, I could see bottom from the surface in 90' out of Jupiter. I suspect that the 5-7' seas will significantly lower the vis by the time it calms down this weekend.

Miami 9/28/02

Belcher Barge
depth: 77'
Vis: 50'
Green murky layer of about 20' on the surface
Vis in murk: 5-10'
Air temp: hot hot enough for some crotch pot cookin'
water Temp surface: 85 F
Thermocline at about 55' temp drop to 78 F

A good dive overall on my own boat. Its nice to not have 30 other divers silting up a wreck.
