Didn't see them myself, but reportedly there are 10 251 Mako's with twin engines and good trailers coming up this Saturdays. They are used FMP boats. Some have twin Johnsons, some twin Mercurys.
I'm guessing $12K at auction. $6K might be a good deal.

That would be an awesome ride. That place is PACKED on auction day. I saw a ton of old FHP cars there too.

Jerry, probably the tampa machinery auction. Alot of the stuff goes for "all the money" but sometimes a few deals are to be had, especially with 10 of them. Best to bid on the last few, the first couple will probably bring to much money. The have the auctions on the second saturday of each month.

Had a chance to go by and look at them yesterday all are in pretty rough condition and need lots of work. Didn't see to many with delamination problems but it is hard to get down inside to check out the stringer conditions. The one in the best shape was the flats boat power head is gone but looked to be the easiest to restore. There was one over there that looked to be atleast 30-32 ft with quad 250's on it. Restore that and it would be get in sit down and hang on. Truthfully if I could snag one of the 30 ftrs there for less than 3k and could afford the price of a divorce I wouldn't mind restoring one of those. In all I don't think it will take much to get one of these boats but it might take a lot to get it where you would want it. By the way gray is not my favorite color!

Ben and I looked at them today also. All need lots of work as stated. I started getting that fiberglass itch just seeing them!

You done missed it. They started auctioning the boats around noon today and went for more than they should have. (Except the first couple that no one saw run.)

The boats all went for stupid money. 6-8K for the 25's, and 4-6K for the 21's. Some of the motors ran, but they all had a gazzillion hours. The boats were structurally sound but cosmetically rough. The trailers were generally not bad, but most needed axles.

Damn Spearchucker I thought you would have at least bought three of them. After talking to Ben I would say that the went for insane money.

Those boats went for ridiculous prices. From what I can tell, there was no real bargain on anything at that auction.
