Hey I am also a new member to the forum. First of all hey to everyone and thanks for the good 411. I have been interested into going Venice for quite some time. I don't have enough serious spearfishing partners to put together a full trip. I have considered a few options but in truth I haven't been able to come up with something yet. I am a certified diver but am more interested in freediving for various reasons. I also wouldn't mind soaking a hook at night for some tuna. I would like to get a group together to go out to the rigs and do some freediving. I don't know if it would be best to take a charter or rent a boat or hook up with some generous souls that would be willing to show some southern hospitality and trade time on their boat for time on mine down here in South Florida. I have one or two buddies that are very capable divers (we are no pros but can hunt to 60) that will likely sign up for a trip, they too are willing to contribute to any expenses.
I am a student so I can't afford to shell out the cash for a private charter but If we can get a group going ill be game. If split several ways it has potential. I have gear and am willing to travel to almost anywhere to explore new hunting grounds and do some freediving.
I would apreciate any advice on how to get to some new hunting grounds. XFC looks like they know whats up but its going to cost.
Thanks in advance for the help
