Aloha everyone
Well today just a few days before I must return him home to Florida my son Nicholas shot his first fish (2 actually) freediving at age seven! We had a boat load as Daryl Wong, Scott Merlo his two sons James and Riley and his niece Chyna explored the back waters of Kaneohe bay. The night before we went out I made Nik a special 75 cm railgun after he went to bed and had it laid out right next to his "Lucky Charms" cereal. He was so stoked to get out and give it a try. The first atoll we came to we jumped in and off the kids went. Nik started shooting right off the bat his Uncle Daryl said the kids a spitting image of me "shoots alot and likes to kill rocks", well just like Babe Ruth sooner or later he got lucky and stoned his first snapper!
Also later in the day Scott Merlo who is known for being one of the most skilled speargun makers in the world asked if Daryl and I could make his son James a gun just like the one Nicholas used. James picked a red-splash 75 cm gun for the Kelp beds in Northern California and Daryl and I were very honored to build it for him!
Well I am going to have to ask "one very special girl" to post the pics for me as working on a computer is light years more difficult than building a speargun! Her and I should make a great team! :thumps:
