Costa Rica Video

Went to CR a couple of weeks ago to scout out investment propert. Got home and went straight to the Keys so video was delayed due to second vacation. :)

My dive master over there is a full time investor in CR land. He says stay away from vacant land unless you live there. Even then you can loose it to squaters rights. He had a 70,000.00 dollar double lot overlooking the ocean that was taken away. All the locals have to do is find a corrupt cop to sign the proper paperwork and its gone.

Lucky for him he had an outside agency maintaining it and kept the receipts so he was able to get it back.

He feels condos are the way to go if your not a local...


First was a Crockodile tour

then the beach

then the volcano

Very interesting. Obviously a different legal system there, where idiots don't get paid for being stupid. Looks like you can still take risks at your own peril! But, really beautiful. I can't wait till someone I know lets me use their condo really cheap! :D

If your going to dive I would head to El Coco and dive the bat islands. From there its a 3.5hr drive to the Arenal volcano but definatly worth it.

also 4x4 highly recommended. Book ahead for better deals. Got my through avis at 220.00 U.S. for the week.
