went out today with Paul, Seabeast, and Andrew .
7 gags to 25lbs
2 cobs to 31 lbs
1 12lb genuine
1 legal scamp
8 flatties
On my first dive I was getting a little warm so I jumped In to cool off and wait for Andrew. Three cobs swam up and I did the honest thing to do and put a steel shaft thru his head. that was a good way to start the day.

Al forgot the part about me getting chased to the surface by a 7' shark. Don't know what kind he was - think he was either a bull or a dusky (once I see the teeth they all look the same to me). Definitely not a sand tiger and too husky for a spinner. First saw him on my ascent with the cobia and one grouper on the stringer. Circled around staying @ 15 feet away with an occasion turn in on me. Followed me up the string to @ 10' from surface. Finally after much bowing up, bubble bowing and gun pointing finally slowly slid back down. Spent a very nervous 1-2 minutes on the surface waiting to get picked up by the boat. Didn't give up the fish and had I had a powerhead probably would have smoked him. Blowing air at him seemed more of a deterrent to him than thrusting the speargun at him. All well that ends well.
