After engine (exhaust) repair last week and a sea trial on Saturday I put together a trip for Sunday. Sorry to Kite and ScottZeagle who were supposed to come up, but couldn't/didn't want to come for only one day. Glad both of you guys shot some fish this weekend.

Went on a trip way south. Have had a hard time finding the real quality fish as of late. I made up for it this trip. Had to dive by myself as charlestondiving (now aka Sugar Ray) got in a fight in a bar the night before.........but I'll let him tell that story. Did one dive in 150 ft. Shot a nice gag and a 8 pound mangrove. Chased a few 20-30 pound gags around, but they were smart. The magroves were thick down there. Big ones. Hadn't really ever realized we had that many here. Was pretty narked on 29% so I came up a little early. There were plenty of nice gags on this new ledge. Went off for some fishing. 5 guys pulled up huge beeliner, massive triggers (thought maybe we were on a rig in the gulf) and blackfish. Caught 3 legal scamps on R&R as well. Another dive in 105' on another new spot. I'll let the pictures do the talking. It was incredible. I could have shot 10 alpha males. No kidding. Scamps, gag, hogs, bugs......life was good. Never moved more than 15 yards away from the buoy. I have no idea how many fish were in this area. Great to have new spots. Especially when they have lots of fish.

Also caught a tilefish, squirrel fish and a spanish hog for my aquarium. Ate the tilefish. It was delicious.

Great times on Slay Ride.

Gorgeous stringer. You're right, Brian; we need to find some ledges like that around the Keys.

If we guess, do we get a prize?

Ok, here's my guess:

Some guy saw you drinking a low carb beer and called you a pu$$y, and told you that your dive equipment is all neon colored. You retaliated, a fight ensued, and after a tussle, you stuffed a www.charlestondiving.com card on his trembling body so that when he woke up he would know who he had been dealing with...

Am I close?

ps. Nice fish, Les :D

I'm hoping he found out who stole his truck, computer and gun and beat him to a frothy pulp.

Thanks inlet. Unfortunately the squirrel fish bit the big one last night. I guess a fast ride up from 150 was just too much.
