Trip to Key West

I am planning a trip to Key West for a weekend of spearfishig. I was wondering if anyone wanted to join myself and Keyspearfisher fr a weekend of slaying. I am planning on leaving tampa friday, so if you are somewhat on the way I will be happ to pick ya up. One thing. Please only come if you are experienced and comfortable diving deep. We are planning a dive to the wilksbarrow which is 250 to the sand. We will be doing more diving after this s you could sit tht one out if ya wanted to. Let meknow if anyone's interested.

i'll be in key west this weekend too but I don't dive deep. Just going freediving and it looks like the weather will be nasty. I just hope I can see more than 10'. Good luck to all and hopefully we will all score big.

I'll be spending a week from May 26 to June 2 on Big Pine Key. If any of you local guys want to show me where all the big fish are down there, send me a PM with contact info.
I'm going down with some family (3 women & 4 kids) and one guy other than me and I'd like to get at least a little spearfishing in while there. The guy that's going says he spears, but I've never dove with him so don't know much about his shooting abilities.
I figure that most of the time will be spent with a hook & line in the water so the girls can have something to do, but I might just have an aneurism (sp?) if I don't get to at least shoot at something. :D

I think freedive slayer is going, how ever if anyone wants to bring their boat, and meet up one or both days, then that would be cool. If we do not dive the wilkes then we will be freediving and divig along the reef line and a couple wrecks. call me if ya wanna set something up. we are going to be staying in key west but going from around sugarloaf.

Hey guys I am also planning on hitting the keys this weekend. My # 786 290 1405 ask for jc. I am leaving tonight and plan on diving around big pine on Friday. We have a place to stay so if you guys want to get together to drink a few on the way or do some diving with us just drop a line. We only freedive anywhere up to 75 feet so if you guys want an extra couple of shooters we are willing to pay for gas and clean the boat and fish.later

Sorry I could not get back to you spearoo, I have beeen really busy with a new job. I have been in orientation for this week for an EMT position at AMR. I am going to try to get another keys trip together sometime in the near future. Just need to get some ash in my pocket first and get a set schedule. I only work 4 days a week so that leaves a possibility for me to pan a 3 day trip! Ill post the approximate dates when it gets closer. Ohyeah about te last trip, I had a pretty good time, didnt do well either day but the 2 brians did. for some reason te fish were staying outta sight of me. Also I triedout brians gun and lost the damn thing after a cuda ripped it out of my hands. (That ruined my day!) I shot just about enough fish to cover the gun, so i ended up in the hole. I guess thats why they say shit hppens! Nexttime I am ging to have to make sure I do better to make up for this last trip!!!
