I am always open to anything when it comes to fishing. I have been known to strap on a tank if the vis is particularly bad or just to check out a wreck in water deeper than I can dive, but hands down freediving has been much more productive and rewarding for me. If the conditiond aren't rigth to push myself to diving near my limits we just go in a bit shallower. I consider myself and upper mid level freediver with much improving still ahead of me. I can reach 80 and maybe shoot a fish but I wouldn't be able to keep up that pace very long, 40-60 is the depth I am most comfortable at but I keep wanting to push farther and farther down in the hopes of some day being able to dive with pros like Chad Palan who can hunt 120 and even deeper. Most people think this is insane if not impossible but in truth it is just a matter of hard work and overcoming personal barriers to achive a spiritual experience. If you are serious about going out I am all about it. I am always looking to expand my hunting horizon's and am willing to put in the work that it take to keep the boat clean.
p.s Nice hogs.
